Where history is at every turn. Imagine a place where timeless history becomes the time of your life. Before the West had been settled. Before the rules had been written. Before the golden spike had been driven, there was Selma Farms. A testament to a time when comfortable entertaining was the reward of accomplishment, Selma Castle is known as much for the notoriety of the dignitaries who visited, as the historic events that have surrounded it.
In 1857, King Edward VII of England enjoyed an extended stay, as did wealthy industrialists, government leaders and Brookings Institute founder and one-time owner Robert Brookings. Selma Farm was the location of the final duel to take place in Missouri and billeted Union troops and officers during the Civil War.
From reigning monarchs to national figures, Selma Farm has long been a meeting place for the ambitious and the influential, making it an ideal location to foster relationships while hosting valued guests.
Today, this one-of-a-kind gathering place- steeped in the traditions of a once-upon-a-time period in our nation’s history- is reserved exclusively for the enjoyment of its guest.
